I’m the creator of UpLevered — a resource built to help outsiders break into private equity.

After starting my career at a hedge fund, I realized I wanted to invest in real businesses, not just stocks. I transitioned into investment banking, grinding through late nights and technical prep to earn my shot. Eventually, I made the jump into private equity — not through the “target school + top bank + headhunter speed run,” but the long way.

I built UpLevered because I wish something like this existed when I was starting out. If you’re navigating recruiting from a non-traditional background, you’ve got ambition — and you’re not alone. This site is here to help you get smart, get prepared, and get in.
