Stop Spreading Financials by Hand
Upload company PDF or Excel exports. Get a PE-grade Excel model with formulas—not hardcodes—in seconds.
You know this drill.
It’s 11pm. You’ve got 47 PDFs and Excel files from a data room—three years of QuickBooks exports, scanned tax returns, and whatever the seller’s accountant decided to call “financials.”
Your job: evaluate and project the company’s Free Cash Flow and output a clean LBO model by morning.
So you start copying. And pasting. And fixing the signs. And wondering why COGS is positive in 2022 but negative in 2023. And rebuilding the formulas when someone asks “can you add a column for LTM?”
You didn’t get into PE to be a human OCR machine.
Built for Deal Teams, Not Credit Committees
Most “financial spreading” tools are built for bank credit analysts approving loans. They spit out standardized templates that don’t match how PE models actually work.
AutoSpread is different. It’s built by someone who’s closed $40M–$250M roll-ups and knows what a real deal model needs:
Formula-Linked, Not Hardcoded
Every cell traces back to source. Change an input, the model updates. No “where did this number come from?” conversations.
PE Sign Convention
Expenses are negative. Subtotals use addition. Gross Profit = Revenue + COGS. The way your senior associate expects it.
Audit Trail Built In
Original PDF text and Excel inputs preserved. Source page tracked. Side-by-side verification so you can defend every number.
Three Steps. No Training Required.
Upload Your PDFs or Excel Files
Drag in the company-provided or data room dump—income statements, balance sheets, messy multi-page exports. AutoSpread handles them all.
Review & Classify
AI extracts line items and suggests classifications. You approve, override, or reclassify in a simple editor. Mark add-backs with one click.
Export to Excel
Download a complete workbook: Summary tab with P&L cascade, period-by-period detail sheets, consolidated view, and full audit trail. All formula-linked.
Built by a Practitioner
I spent years in middle-market PE doing exactly this work—spreading financials at 2am, rebuilding models when the seller sent “updated” numbers, defending tie-outs to partners who’d seen every Excel trick in the book.
AutoSpread is the tool I wished I had. It’s not trying to replace your judgment. It’s trying to give you back the hours you’re wasting on data entry so you can focus on what actually matters: finding the risks, stress-testing the assumptions, and winning the deal.

Questions
What file types does it support?
PDF (including scanned), Excel exports, and standard financial statement formats. If it came from prospective company or data room, it probably works.
Does it work with messy or inconsistent financials?
Yes. AutoSpread handles varying formats across periods, inconsistent naming, and the chaos that comes from seller-prepared statements. You can reclassify anything the AI gets wrong.
What does the Excel output look like?
A multi-tab workbook with: Summary (P&L cascade with margins), period detail sheets, consolidated P&L, and an audit tab showing source text for every line item. All formulas, no hardcodes.
How is this different from nCino, Moody’s, or other spreading tools?
Those are built for bank credit analysts doing loan underwriting. AutoSpread is built for PE/IB deal teams who need LBO-ready models with the right sign conventions, formula structures, and audit trails.
Is my data secure?
Your files are processed and not stored permanently. I’m a solo practitioner building this—I’m not harvesting data to train AI models or selling your deal info.
What does it cost?
Pricing TBD based on beta feedback. Early users will get a significant discount.
